Veronica Mocanu (MD, PhD) is a Professor of Pathophysiology and Eating Behavior at the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iași, Romania. She is an endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of obesity and eating disorders. She is the coordinator of the “Traista cu sănătate” – Healthy Traditions for Healthy Children Program, which was awarded the EU Health Award 2020 by the European Commission for the best community-level initiative (Iași) promoting a healthy lifestyle. She also co-edited the “Educational Guide for Patients with Obesity, Diabetes, and Metabolic Diseases”, which received an award from the Romanian Academy of Scientists in 2022.
